The National Sales Tax, also called:

would replace the Federal Income Tax with a national sales tax. This means that American taxpayers would no longer spend (or WASTE!) millions of hours in preparing their annual tax returns for the dreaded April 15th tax filing deadline..... at a cost of almost 1/2 Trillion dollars every year!

A National Sales Tax.... it's so simple! A National Sales Tax NEVER taxes income (salaries, dividends, interest, etc. is NOT taxed!). A National Sales Tax is collected on consumption, i.e. only when you BUY something is a National Sales Tax collected, i.e. a new bed from the furniture store.

Imagine, no more federal income tax or IRS for that matter! The IRS as we now know it, with their tax code that's so complicated, overbearing, and ILLOGICAL, that more than 1/2 of all American taxpayers can no longer complete their own tax returns, and have to hire an accountant to do so. At least 90% to 95% of the employees at the IRS would need to get real jobs!

The question most frequently asked is, how do we taxpayers "feed" the federal bureaucracy? Again, this is so simple! Here's an example of how we replace the income tax with a National Sales Tax with the previous example of buying a new bed from your favorite furniture store. When you buy your new bed, you are charged for the cost of the bed - say, for example, the bed costs $1,000.00. But the bed's cost is not just $1,000.00, there are state and local taxes added on to this $1,000.00. The sales tax the furniture store adds on to the cost of the bed depends on the state and city you live in. Let's say that the sales tax is 8%. So the total cost of your new bed is actually $1,000.00 plus $80.00 or $1,080.00. A National Sales Tax would add approximately 15%, so the total tax would be more, 15% for the federal portion, and the 8% for state and local, for a total tax of 23%, so the bed would now cost $1,230.00. But no more income taxes or IRS! And, how often do you buy a bed?
